About Clive Aid
What is Clive Aid ?
Clive Aid is a charity based on staging rock music events. We help the fight against MS (Muscular Sclerosis) and cancer. We do this by raising awareness of MS and male cancers and raising funds for various causes.
How does Clive Aid raise funds?
We raise funds through organising and running rock based music events from rock club nights, to gigs, to whole festival stages.
Clive Aid events are our lifeblood, they provide us with vital funds which in turn enable us to help others. ALL our profits are donated to our chosen causes. The events also provide us with FUN.
We love to help, we love to ROCK, we are... Clive Aid.
Where did it all Start?
Clive Aid started in 2004 with one show at the legendary Ruskin Arms in London to help one time Iron Maiden drummer, Clive Burr, who suffers from MS. After a run of very successful events we have managed to help transform Clives’ living space at his home to make his illness a little easier to deal with. see Clives new house here The success of those first few shows have inspired us to carry on raising funds through rock music.
Where do the funds go?
In Norway we are very proud to work with the Bergen Hospital. In the UK we are very proud to be working with the Orchid Charity at St Barts Hospital London. You can read more about these organisations on Our Causes page. We are always open to hearing of other causes who want to partner with us.
Where are you going wih Clive Aid?
In 2007 Clive Aid expanded and became a truly European organisation. Our team expanded as did our list of programs. Our areas of work are set to expand even more with plans of events in India, Sweden, Italy, France and the USA. Our Team is always looking at ways to improve our work and for new people and groups to help. The future is looking very busy and exciting. We will of course continue to help Clive Burr, after all that is why we started Clive Aid. As we move forward with our work your support is vital and much appreciated. We are very excited to see what the future holds and hope you will join us.
